Chair-Lift application

Another interesting application field for our OpenDrive: in Madonna di Campiglio, one of the most beautiful places in Italy for skiing, TDE MACNO realised the control of the new chair-lift that from 1.946m asl reaches Predalago at 2.100m.
It is a 4 seats-chairlift with automatic uncoupling of the seats to facilitate the climbing and
deboarding of the skiers.
In the controlling cabin there are two 200Kw OpenDrive: one in AFE (active front-end) working mode that has to rectify the three phase 380V by keeping constant the output voltage of the DC Bus at 630V whatever the load, that means whatever the absorbed power or the power fed back into the line supply.
The other OPD works as inverter to control an asynchronous 200Kw motor with feedback
from incremental encoder.
This type of application needs a very accurate speed regulation for a stabile and "sweet"
response of the drive.
The chair-lift application in such a wonderful place was really very evocative and OpenDrive was once again up to the task.
